A few months ago, my Grandad tragically died of cholangiocarcinoma (bile duct cancer) at the age of 72. It was a great shock to us all as it was only a month after diagnosis. There was almost no sign that he was ill and he was still an active and caring Grandfather.
Adam Reay
Cholangiocarcinoma is very rare and there is only one UK charity trying to find ways to detect it sooner. Many of Adam's friends and family have donated to the AMMF and I thought it was time for me to remember him in a similar way. In the summer of 2013 I will be cycling from London to Paris with three friends. Any money given to the AMMF as a result of this would be very much appreciated as it would make me feel a lot better that something positive has come from our loss. He always loved to help others, and this fundraising event would have made him happy.
I will fund all the costs of the cycle myself. Any money given on this page will go straight to the AMMF, my aim is simply to raise awareness of this rare cancer and the only charity helping to find a cure.
